TURKISH NIGHT SHOW
Turkish night highlights the traditional dances from various regions of Turkey, along with typical costumes and, of course, the exciting belly dancers. This lively show is a great way to appreciate traditional Turkish music, dance, and join the fun during the audience participation moment.
The price for the Turkish Night is 50 euros per person, including drinks and fruit, or 60 euros per person, including drinks, fruit, and dinner. Both rates also include transportation between the hotel and the restaurant. We will pick you up at your hotel at 8 pm (in winter) or 8:30 pm (in summer) and take you to one of the cave restaurants where the show is presented every night.
The night begins with traditional Turkish dancers taking the stage. The dancers, including a bride and groom, present the traditional Turkish wedding.
The bride, dressed in a beautiful red dress, dances in the middle, and the groom arrives to present different performances. First, he shows how elegant he is, then how strong he is, and finally how rich he is.
After rejecting all these performances, the bride accepts to marry the groom when he tells her that his heart beats for her. As they start the wedding dance, all visitors are invited to dance with them.
After other traditional dances from different regions of Turkey, the night’s main event begins: the belly dance!
While dancing, the belly dancer goes from table to table to choose a man to dance with her. The men have a good time while learning the tricks of the belly dance moves.
After a few dances like the fire dance, the Caucasian knife dance, and a drum show, the night ends around 11:30 pm when we take you back to your hotel for a good night’s sleep.
During the night, waiters serve unlimited alcoholic drinks and soft drinks with appetizers. The main dish is lamb with rice, the traditional Turkish wedding meal.

The ceremony price is 35 euros per person, including transportation. Send us an email to book the famous Whirling Dervishes ceremony.
History and Information about the Whirling Dervishes Ceremony
The Sema (Whirling Dervishes Ceremony) originated from the inspiration of Mevlana Celaleddin-I Rumi (1207-1273) and is part of the Turkish culture, belief, and history in Konya. It symbolizes the different meanings of a mystical cycle of perfection (Ascension – Mirac).
Contemporary science confirms that the fundamental condition of our existence is to revolve. There is no object or being that does not rotate. Everything whirls, and man, a whirling dervish, lives his life, his existence through the revolution of the atoms, the structural elements of his body, the circulation of the blood, coming from the earth and returning to it, whirling with the Earth itself.
The Sema ceremony (Whirling Dervishes) represents the mystical journey of man’s spiritual ascent through love, finding the truth, and reaching “Perfection.” He returns from these spiritual journeys as a man who has achieved maturity and greater perfection, to love and serve all creation, all creatures, without discrimination of beliefs, classes, or races.
The dervish is spiritually born to the truth, with his hat (the tombstone of his ego) and his white skirt (the shroud of his ego). When he removes his black cloak, he travels and advances toward spiritual maturity through the various stages of Sema.
Always keeping his arms in the cross position represents the number one and bears witness to the unity of God.
He whirls from right to left, around the heart, and while he spins, his arms are open, his right hand facing the sky, ready to receive the beneficence of God, and his left hand turned towards the earth to give what he received to the poor.
This is his way of transmitting God’s spiritual gift to the people, for whom God “watches with divine vigilance.” Whirling around the heart, from right to left, man embraces all humanity, all creation with affection and love.
Caravanserais and Saruhan (Sarihan)
The Whirling Dervishes ceremonies are performed at the Sarihan Caravanserai every night, but what is a caravanserai?
Trade in Turkey during the medieval Seljuk times depended on camel caravans (kervan, translated to caravan), which stopped overnight at inns known as kervansaray (caravanserai), literally caravan-palaces. These buildings provided lodging and other amenities to merchants and stables for animals.
During the reign of the Seljuk sultans of Anatolia, Kilicarslan II (1155-1192) and Alaaddin Keykubat I (1220-1237), a large number of kervansarays were built, and security measures were increased along the Silk Road and other trade routes.
The state not only built the kervansarays but also compensated merchants who were attacked or robbed, thus providing a kind of insurance system.
As a result, both domestic and international trade flourished. Foreign merchants who came to Anatolia enjoyed extensive rights and customs reductions.
All merchants of any nationality received free food and drink for three days. Their shoes were repaired, and new shoes were given to the poor. Treatment was available for the sick, and animals were cared for and shod.
The structure of a kervansaray was well suited for defense. The most important factor in planning a kervansaray was the location of the main entrance (portal). The portal is the architectural focus, elaborately decorated with stone carving and containing a marble panel inscribed with the name of the sultan, the patron, and the date of construction.
Other than the portal, the outside walls are plain, without any windows, giving the building the look of a fortress. The building is usually square or rectangular, with dimensions between 900 and 5000 square meters.
In front of the portal is a large courtyard, leading to an enclosed, barrel-vaulted building.
We know that in many places there are ruins of shops, baths, and small mosques around kervansarays.
Among the best preserved and largest kervansarays in Cappadocia are the Agzikarahan, Sultanhani, and Sarihan. These were built in the 13th century by the Seljuks.
