Day 1 – Classical Historical Tour in Istanbul
On this day, we’ll dive into the historical heart of Istanbul, walking through the Sultanahmet district where the most iconic Byzantine and Ottoman landmarks are concentrated.
🔹 Roman Hippodrome
The ancient chariot racing arena and social center of Constantinople.
You’ll see the Obelisk of Theodosius, the Serpentine Column, and the Column of Constantine.
🔹 Blue Mosque (Sultan Ahmet Camii)
Free entrance
One of the most famous mosques in the Islamic world, known for its six minarets and stunning blue Iznik tiles.
🔹 Hagia Sophia (Ayasofya-i Kebir Camii)
Optional entrance: €25 per person
A former Byzantine basilica converted into a mosque and then a museum; now it functions again as a mosque. Its interior features impressive domes and ancient mosaics.
🔹 Topkapi Palace

A full day to discover the contrast between modern Istanbul, its European roots, and vibrant life along the Bosphorus Strait.

We’ll walk up to the historic Pera neighborhood, where the iconic Galata Tower stands.

A scenic walk across this bridge connecting historic and modern neighborhoods, while watching fishermen and passing boats.
🔹 New Mosque (Yeni Camii)
Also known as the Valide Sultan Mosque.

🔹 Spice Bazaar (Egyptian Market)
A covered market specializing in spices, teas, sweets, and oriental perfumes.
