Alternative itinerary: tour around Turkey and Greece

Greece itinerary

First day: depart from your home country to Athens

Arriving in Athens, our assistant will be waiting for you to make the transfer from the airport to the Hotel. Take advantage of the tips of your assistance and start with a walk through the center of Athens and have the first contact with the city.

Accommodation in Athens.

Second day: Athens city tour

Athens city tour passing through the main sightseeing of the city. We will start from the Hadrian’s Arch and continue to visit the Panathinaiko Stadium (also known as Kalimarmaro), which was originally built-in 329 BC, and where the first Olympics of the modern era were held in 1896.

We continue on to the main square of the city with the name “Syntagma” (Constitution), where is the presidential guard called “Evzonos” with his typical costume, which changes the guard, in front of the Greek parliament and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

Then, we continue the panoramic tour visiting the Neoclassical buildings of Athens such as the Faculty, the library and the Academy, and finally, we will visit Acropolis and Parthenon, this magnificent monument built-in 447 BC during the golden age of Pericles dedicated to Goddess Athena seeing the Propylaea, the temple of Athens Nike, Erecteio and all its magnificent buildings.

Enjoy the free afternoon to discover the center of Athens around Acropolis, strolling through Monastiraki, Plaka, and Thissio, enjoying the pleasant views of the old city.

Third day: Visit Santorini

Transfer from the hotel to the port for the ship bound for the island of Santorini. Upon arrival in Santorini, you will be transferred to the Hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day for leisure.

Fourth day: Santorini tour and Nea Kameni

Cruise aboard a motorized schooner. Sail around the island of Santorini, passing the typical white houses along the cliff. Arriving on the island of Nea Kameni, walk through the still active volcano for a view of Caldera. Sailing to the island of Palea Kameni, where you can swim in the hot water bay diluted with the sulfur source of the volcano (hot springs).

Following the walk passing through the village of Oia, where during the sunset typical dishes of Greek cuisine are served.

The fifth day: Visit to Crete

Transfer from the hotel to the port and ship bound for Heraklio, Crete. Upon arrival in Heraklio – Crete, you will be transferred to the Hotel. Enjoy the end of the afternoon for a walk around the city and to be able to taste the famous typical Cretan drink called “raki” to the sound of the characteristic Cretan music.

After breakfast visit the Palace of Knossos (Minoan civilization) and transfer from the hotel to the airport where you will take the flight to Athens tour with a visit to the Acropolis of Lindos.

Transfer to the airport and flight to Izmir from Turkey.

Arrival in Izmir and hotel accommodation.

Sixth day: Visit to Selçuk

On this day, we will go to Selçuk, the current city that houses the open-air museum of Ephesus and the House of the Virgin Mary.

In this touristic site in Ephesus, we will visit the ruins of Odeon, the Gate of Hercules, Hadrian’s Temple, the famous Magnificent Library and the fantastic Greco-Roman theater.

Accommodation in Izmir or Selçuk or Kusadasi.

Seventh day: Visit to Izmir \ kuşadasi \ Pamukale

After Breakfast, we will leave for the tourist site of Pamukkale. In this tourist site, you will find the old city of Hierapolis and the natural swimming pools of Cotton castle. We will set aside the entire afternoon for these pool visits.

Eighth day:

After breakfast in the morning, we will follow toward to Cappadocia.

We will pass through cities such as Afyon (poppy town), Konya (city of dervishes) and Aksaray and arrive in Cappadocia at the end of the day.

In the morning, departure for Konya. On the way, we will visit Sultanhan, the Seljukian caravanserai from the 13th century.

The next stop will be in Konya, famous for the Mevlana Museum of Theological School of Whirling Dervishes.

Lunch on the way to Cappadocia. On this day we will get to know the interior of Turkey through the various cities and towns in the interior. We will give the technical stops. Arrive in Cappadocia and accommodation.

Ninth day: Cappadocia tour

We will dedicate this day to visit Cappadocia.

Tenth day: Cappadocia tour

We will visit other corners of the Cappadocia region by taking the green tour. We would like to stay in Cappadocia for two days, with tours included for the two days.

Eleventh day: Return flight to Istambul

We will go to the airport to take the return flight to Istanbul.

We will organize transfers and tickets.

Twelfth day: We will take the main tour of the city of Istanbul.

Thirteenth day: We will take the main tour of the city of Istanbul.

Fourteenth day: We will take you to the airport to take the flight home.
