Discover Mount Ararat with Guide in Turkey

At an altitude of 5219 m, Ararat is the highest mountain in Turkish territory. Furthermore, this mountain, for followers of the Christian faith, has an important meaning, because according to studies in the book of Genesis, Noah’s Ark is supposed to be located in this region.

Detailed Itinerary

First day: arrival and reception

We will receive the group at Van airport with our private vehicle (note: Van is the name of the district).

Then, we will leave for the city of Doğubayazıt. Upon reaching the region, we will stroll around the Muradiye Waterfall.

Overnight in Doğubayazıt.

Second day: Departure towards Mount Ararat

After breakfast at the hotel, we will follow towards Mount Ararat. On this day, we will climb 2,200 m with our private vehicle. When we reach 3,200 m, we will walk for an average of 4 hours.

Accommodation at Mount Ararat (camping).

Third day: Continuation of the tour through Mount Ararat

After breakfast, we will climb until we reach 4,200 m height. This journey lasts an average of 5 hours. Then, lunch and rest. After a short break, we will go down 1,200 m again.

Fourth day: Continuation of the tour through Mount Ararat

Departure to the peak at 1:30 am, in the early hours of the night. We will reach the summit at 7:00 am. After walking on the summit, we will return for 3,200 m.

Fifth day: Continuation of the tour through Monte Ararat

On this day, we will go down to 3,200 m – 2,200 m. Return to the hotel with our vehicle after rest. Also, we will organize the Turkish bath activity.

Dinner and overnight in Doğubayazıt.

Sixth day: Farewell and end of our services

On this last day, we will visit the following tourist attractions:

– Castle of Van;

– Akdamar Island;

– Akdamar Church.

Then, transfer to the airport in a private van.


– All Transfers;

– Hotel;

– Guide;

– Permission from the Ministry of Tourism;

– Tent for camping;

– Meals throughout the trip.

Not included

– Alcohol and personal expenses.

What you should bring to the tour:

 – Sunglasses, sunscreen, socks, warm clothing, lamp, backpack, rug, sleeping bag, boots and other personal equipment suitable for mountaineering.


The ascent time is 30 minutes, depending on the physical performance of the clients. We can provide free crampons to anyone who has not previously purchased one. Changes can be made to the program upon request.
