Saint Paul tour – Turkey and Greece

First day: Arrival in Istanbul

Reception at the airport with a cardboard poster written your name in it and private transfer to the hotel.

Accommodation in a hotel with breakfast included.

Second day: Tour in Istanbul

We will pick you at the hotel with the local guide with our private van at 9 am (or another time of your preference). Then, we will visit the following sightseeing:

–  Suleymaniye Mosque;

–  Spice Market;

– Boat trip on the Bosphorus;

– Topkapı Palace.

Accommodation in the hotel.

Third day: Tour in Istanbul

We will pick you at the hotel with the local guide with our private van at 9 am (or another time of your preference). Then, we will visit the following sightseeing:

– Ancient Roman Hippodrome;

– Blue Mosque;            

– Hagia Sophia;

– Basilica Cistern;

– Grand Bazaar.

Accommodation in the hotel.

Fourth day: Flight to Cappadocia

After breakfast, we will take a flight to Cappadocia. After arrival, we will have lunch and visit the underground city of Ozkonak, built with a grain store, dormitories, and ventilation shafts. This place was used as a refuge by the Christians of the time.

Dinner and accommodation at the hotel.

Fifth day: Cappadocia tour

Breakfast and full-day excursion around the Cappadocia region in the cities of Aksaray, Nevsehir, and Kayseri.

Also, we will visit the Goreme Valley, an incredible Byzantine monastic complex composed of churches carved in the rocks with beautiful frescoes and the natural fortress of Uchisar.

After visitations, we will stop for lunch. During the afternoon, we will visit Ortahisar, the fairy chimneys of Urgup, Pasabag and Avanos.

At the end of the day, we will end the visit in a carpet cooperative where you can see how Turkish carpets are woven.

Return to the hotel for dinner and accommodation.

Note: During this day, you can take an optional balloon tour of Cappadocia.

Sixth day: Visit Pamukkale

In the morning, we will leave towards Pamukkale.

During the afternoon, we will have lunch.

After we arrive, we will have free time in the Cotton Castle: a limestone formation with thermal pools and petrified waterfalls, passing through Hierapolis.

Seventh day: Visit Pamukkale and Kuşadası

Breakfast and free time for bathing in the thermal pools, petrified waterfalls, and Cleopatra’s Pool. Just after departure to Kuşadası, we will have lunch Break.

Kuşadası is known as the Island of the Birds, passing through the Laodicean church, 1 of the 7 churches of the Apocalypse of Saint John.

Departure to Ephesus and visit the house of Our Lady (mass) who, according to the tradition of the church, lived his last days there in the custody of Saint John.

Transfer to Hotel Dinner and overnight in Kuşadası.

Eighth day: Kuşadası, cruise shipment and Patmos

After breakfast, transfer to board the Greek Islands cruise. Departure at 1 pm at Patmos.

The first island to be visited will happen at 5:45 pm and departure at 9:30 pm. The highlight of this afternoon is the tour to the Monastery of Saint John and the grotto where the Evangelist lived and wrote the book of Revelations.

Overnight on board.

Ninth day: Visit Creta and Santorini

In the morning, around 07:00 pm, we will arrive in the city of Heraklion in Crete, and we will leave the place at noon. Then, we will continue to watch the most beautiful sunset in the world on Santorini Island.

Arrival at 4:30 pm, departure at 9:30 pm.

Overnight on board.

Tenth day: visit Athens and Corinth

Arrival in the morning around 07:00 pm at Piraeus port in Athens. After landing, we will make the reception.

Beginning of the classic circuit by the Peloponnese. Shortstop at the Corinth Canal and visit to the site of St. Paul’s Sermon, continuation to Athenas, visit Athens Mitropoli Cathedral of the Orthodox Church.

Transfer to hotel, dinner and free time.

Eleventh day: Tour in Athenas

After breakfast, we will visit the following sightseeings

– Pnyx hill;

– Acropolis (Parthenon, Erechtion, Kkaryatides);

– Hadrian’s Arch;

– Temple of Jupiter;

– The stadium, Palace and Parliament;

– Tomb of the “unknown soldier”;

– Academy and University.

Free time for shopping and transfer to the hotel for accommodation, dinner, and overnight.

Twelfth day: Free day in Athenas

After breakfast, you will have a free day to enjoy this magnificent city. Optionally visit the Acropole Museum, the Temple of Zeus, the Panathenaic Stadium (Panathenaic Stadium), or take the opportunity to visit Mount Lycabettus, the highest point in the city at 277 meters high.

The best way to get around is by metro, get off at Evangelismos station. An option for the late afternoon is to walk around the Monastiraki neighborhood, visiting its souvenir shops.

Dinner and accommodation in Athenas.

Thirteenth day: Flight to Istanbul and end of our services

After Breakfast day, we will take a flight at 5:50 am for Istanbul and we will arrive at 07:10 pm. Thus, we will finish our services.

– 03 nights in Athenas at Athens Avenue or Zafolia 4;

– Private bus in Athens for transfers, half-day visit Athens and a half-day visit to ancient Corinth;

-Assistant in Athens for transfers;
